1.39 is the last version able to emulate the accurate sound of Ogre Battle: March of the black Queen. Newer version can't emulate particular pitched sounds (like the Thunder and Bolt spells and the Stun spell from the witches) and atually introduce sound stutter here and there. 1.39 is the way to go.
